For three decades, Anthony Hardy Williams has been a proud and dedicated public servant. After watching his childhood neighborhood go up in flames from the 1985 MOVE Standoff in Philadelphia, he decided to run for office to bring opportunities, jobs, and hope back to his district.
First a state representative and then, since 1998, a state senator, Anthony’s focus has always been on bettering the diverse communities in Pennsylvania. Education, public safety, and economic opportunity have been at the forefront of all that he has fought for. He has pushed for sensible gun legislation that would assist law enforcement in finding illegal firearms, developed the diversity apprenticeship program, and helped expand school choice for families who need it.
Now running for his sixth term in the state senate, Anthony hopes to continue to bring economic opportunity to his district starting with our children’s education to assisting those already in the workforce. He is the strong leader that Pennsylvania needs to push our commonwealth forward and continue helping the people who need it most.
