From a young age, Austin Davis has been devoted to public service. Seeing that the concerns of young people were not being properly addressed, Austin helped found the Youth Advisory Council to the Mayor of McKeesport to help bridge the gap between government and young high school citizens. In college, Austin was a legislative intern, where he was praised for his dedication to helping constituents.
His commitment to his community led Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald to name him his executive assistant. Austin was in charge of a variety of projects including a board that assists minority women become entrepreneurs.
After the Mon Valley required some much-needed honest leadership in the state house, Austin decided to run for office in his home district. He was first elected in a special election in 2018 and has been fighting for working families ever since.
Austin is ready to get back to work in Harrisburg, encouraging economic growth in the Mon Valley while ensuring employers pay livable wages. He will also push for more infrastructure projects to stimulate the economy including the expansion of the Mon-Fayette Expressway.
