As a lifelong Pennsylvanian, John Blake decided to run for office as a way to give back to the community that has given him so much. When he was elected in 2011, he made it his goal to help people in his district in ways he knows will work as a community member.
As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Economic and Recreation Development, along with other committee assignments, John has been working to create jobs. He introduced a bill that provides $100 million in early-stage venture capital investment. When it passed, it created opportunity for more family sustaining jobs to enter the Commonwealth.
John Blake knows the values that are important to Pennsylvanians. From his experience as a vice president at PNC, he knows how to lead and work with many people. As a proud product of public schools, he wants to continue to help the commonwealth grow.
With his dedication and passion, John Blake is the person who will best be able to create a better and more productive legislature and work to be an example of how representatives should truly represent their district.
