Scott Conklin has made a career fighting for the people of Centre County. For seven years he served as a county commissioner, where he helped emergency services and newly retired employees. But when he saw that his community needed better representation in Harrisburg, he ran for state representative in 2006.
Since he first took office in 2007, Scott has been a leader in bringing home vital resources to Centre County communities. He has ensured that local first responders have the funding they need to quickly respond to emergency situations, and has ensured that local schools, libraries, and other community organizations have the tools they need to teach our next generation of leaders.
In the state capitol, Scott has ensured that our children are given the protections that they deserve to live a healthy and happy life. His devotion to providing childhood services is why he was chosen as the Democratic chairman of the Children and Youth Committee.
