Trish Wertz has always been passionate about giving back to the community around her. Born and raised in Berks County, her parents instilled in her the values of family, hard work, and community.
It was these values that drove Trish into teaching, so that she could give back to her community and help grow the next generation of leaders. She got her teaching degree from Kutztown and went on to teach at Quakertown Middle School. While Trish didn’t want to leave teaching, tragedy struck her family with the passing of her husband, and she had to leave to take care of her young children. During this difficult time, her neighbors helped support her and her family. Now she wants to give back to them in Harrisburg.
As state representative, Trish will work to keep our first responders safe with appropriate equipment and funding. She will also support education with new funding measures that alleviate the heavy burden faced by Berks County property owners. She will also implement safety guidelines for firearms that help protect our communities without interfering on the rights of gun owners or gamesmen.
