Wayne Fontana is a proven champion for Allegheny County.
Since 2005, Wayne has been proud to serve the industrial neighborhoods and aide in their development. His roots run deep in the community, as he is a former union member of the Boilermakers Local 154 and Teamsters Local 249 and Local 211. This Community College of Allegheny County graduate has since become a successful realtor, helping countless community members find their homes.
While in the state senate, Wayne has been a fierce fighter for children and working families. He knows the everyday struggles that working families face, because he lives it with them, which is why he is a proud member of the Community, Economic, and Recreational Development Committee in the senate. While he serves on a variety of standing committees, he is also proud to work with caucuses on early childhood education, manufacturing, community colleges, and women’s health.
Among his proudest legislation is the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP). NAP helps to bring businesses to struggling communities and aid in their involvement of community organizations and members. Not only does this revitalize communities, but it also improves the quality of life for the people who live in them. He also helped to expand Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), which gives health insurance to low income children.
Wayne Fontana knows the struggles of everyday Pennsylvanians and has worked tirelessly for over a decade to address them. With his proven record of public service, Wayne is the only person to continue representing district 42.
